Frell My Citrix Server

Citrix Metaframe XP. I need to disconnect all the clients at a preset time without my involvement at that time. The rest of the server and services needs to stay running, including any Term Serv clients. How? Acceptable solutions include, but are not limited to, unpublishing the app, disabling the ICA protocol, and stopping the Metaframe server software. Client sessions will need to be forcefully disconnected. Data loss is not a concern.

Is there a Citrix Metaframe service in the Services list?

If so, could you write a script to stop that service at a certain time, and restart it at another time? That might disable any active clients if they're connected when the service shuts down. (Caveat - I have worked with Citrix Metaframe in the past, but I don't have a server with it in front of me; this is just an educated guess.)

This was my first approach, but I'm not sure it would work. See, the service is the COM object. I'll be testing this Monday, but I don't know if stopping that service will disconnect the running sessions and prevent others from future connections.

echo y | reset session ica-tcp will disconnect all the current sessions.
change logon /disable will stop them from logging back on.

The hardest part is knocking off Citrix sessions while keeping TS sessions. I _think_ that ica-tcp will knock off only Citrix sessions, as TS would use reset session rdp-tcp but don't quote me on that, 'cause I don't have a box around to test it on.

Hope that helps, or at least sets you on the right track.
