Song question for my Significant Other...

We were at a restaurant and an eighties song with the line "tonight's the night" played, other than that the song was a lot of "woah oh oh oh ohs". What's the title of the song, so I can suprise her with it on a mix?

Uh, was it "Tonight's the Night" by Rod Stewart? Could it be that easy? If so, Google is your friend.

Tonight, Tonight, Tonight by Genesis?

Response by poster: I'm pretty sure it's not Rod Stewart. I'm guessing it's not the Genesis one either. Tonight's the night was the only lyric I could pick out, as the chorus seems to mainly be "Woah oh Oh oh Woah Oh" is some sort of 80s attempt at maybe tribalish music.

That could totally be the Genesis song. If you have iTunes, go to the iTMS and check out the streaming sample of the song.

I think I know exactly the song you mean, right down to the woah's and the faux-tribal connotation. I believe it was used in a commercial not long ago. But I have no idea what it's called. Let me google a bit and see if I can find it.

Tonight's the night by Neil Young and Crazy Horse?

Longshot I know, but Neil's words could be misinterpreted as gibberish.

I totally know the song you're talking about! They use it as background music at ytmnd a lot. I'll investigate when I get home from work and e-mail you.

Best answer: Is it Tarzan Boy by Baltimora?

I came up with Tarzan Boy too. It was in a Listerine commercial recently. Thank goodness, it was really beginning to bug me.

Yes! I think it's Tarzan Boy. Although I can't confirm with audio.

Best answer: There's an MP3 of it here.

Woah, I didn't think www mp3 download sites existed anymore. So 1999. This has to be the right song. Also, it's terrible, and reminds me of attending minor league hockey games years ago, if anyone is interested.

Has to be Tarzan Boy. The only part of the song I can understand are the two parts the poster mentioned - well, I think they say "given the order, given the order" right after "tonight's the night" or whatever they're saying.

This is noise at this point, but it's for a good cause - do NOT listen to cior's link. It's for your own good. It will be stuck in your head for days on end, and not in a good way. Thanks, cior.
