Help me replace my husband's favorite pair of pants!

My husband had a pair of bright orange "lived-in slim" pants from The Gap. He bought them a couple years ago. Then he tore them on the back gate.

He was distraught. I would dearly love to surprise him this Christmas with a replacement pair. Of course, Gap no longer sells this variety. The pants were a W38 and a L34. There is a pair here with a L30, but that probably won't work, as he is very particular and would probably not be thrilled with legs that are too short. I emailed Gap customer service to see if they have any tucked away somewhere or if they have any ideas about getting a pair. What else can I do? Any leads are appreciated! I would also be happy with a comparable pair of bright orange pants that is not from The Gap. Help make my husband's xmas dreams come true!

How orange are we talking? I found these in stock in that size.

Response by poster: Cabingirl, it's a bit of a brighter orange--more like sherbet. But I will keep the TH pants on my list!

Here are some a little on the coral side: Original Penguin

Here's a cute pair on Yoox.

Best answer: Dockers?
Poshmark had a bunch of other orange pants that are at least worth checking out.

Yeah, I bought a bunch of lived-in slims on eBay after discovering they were the perfect pants a week before Gap discontinued them. A few were too long and I had them tailored, but you're coming from the wrong end on that idea with the L30.

I did recently find Old Navy's "Slim with Built-In Flex Khakis" which have been a 95% acceptable replacement. The site shows this pair of "Coral Outrage" colored pants when you filter by the color orange - it looks solidly pink on my screen, but might do the trick?

See if you can find them on thredUP too. I've had good luck with out-of-production J Crew pants there. (edit: d'oh forgot they don't have men's clothes sorry :( maybe still worth a look though!)

Are you sure they're dead? I've had some real gnarly holes in jeans repaired beautifully by Denim Therapy.
