Question: Extra long exercise DVD?

I am looking for an extra long exercise DVD. I need one that is at least 1 hour long, but preferably closer to 2 hours.

Exercise DVDs seem to top out at about 40-45 minutes. This usually includes a warm up and a cool down, thus the actual aerobic session is 20-25 minutes. I need a longer workout. I would especially prefer a DVD that has an aerobic component lasting about an hour. I've looked all over Amazon and various sites, but I can't seem to find anything. (No Carmen Electra, please.)

I don't know the answer to your question, but if it exists I'll bet you can find it at CollageVideo, they've got pretty much everything there, and there's a breakdown of each phase of the workouts so it should be easy to tell. Good luck!

I know it doesn't answer the question, but if you're getting serious about aerobic workouts, consider buying an exercise bike (or a stand for your old bike in the garage). Do some stretches before hand, maybe some simple weight stuff, and bike (and read) for an hour or so.

You might want to check out Yourself! Fitness, which creates customized workout programs for you based on criteria you choose (including length). Its workouts can be made as challenging or easy as you would like, and you can rotate focus from cardio to strength to flexibility, etc.

if you do have a bike and trainer or spin bike or whatever, you can't beat the Spinervals series. there are a couple of video ("Suffer-o-rama" comes to mind) that are 90-120 minutes and there may be a couple of 60 minute ones also.
very intense stuff.

Did you ever try yoga? There is a style that is pretty popular right now called Ashtanga. I do it-- it's aerobic as hell, and the full series will cost you about an hour and a half (or more!). There are a ton of teachers out there, as well plenty of good videos: check out the ones by David Swenson if you have the time. Once you have "mastered" the first series, there are four more that should be able to take you through the next couple decades.
Great for health and general well being!
