Children’s Halloween Book ID

I’m looking for a chapter book (for 2nd/3rd graders) that probably came out in the late 80s or early 90s that had black and white illustrations

(maybe with also with blue tints, or cover was blueish), and the story was set on a dark and stormy night, with a grandpa in a rocking chair telling a tall tale about a wild night where as a young man he was cursed (or something) and entered this macabre world of giant skeletons and other horrors and had to find his way home. At one point he moves through the rib cage of a giant skeleton, and I think he carried a candle since it was set in a time before flashlights. It’s kind of campy and fun, a little like Ghosts 'n Goblins. Ring any bells?

Best answer: I'm guessing Grandpa's Ghost Stories. Pretty awesome book.
