Places to go in London for a freelance app developer

Recently moved to the UK and wondering what places I should go to for meeting creative and nice developers.

As an American freelancer who doesn't know many people in London, wondering if anyone has any suggestions for creative computing and places I might find other app developers who might be working on offbeat, fun or community tech stuff in the M25 area.

Best answer: I can't vouch for it myself but I know a handful of developers who like Pub Standards, which is aimed at (web) developers and claims to be "after-conference drinks & chat without the conference."
