Online bank interface that provides check cashed date and other details

CapitalOne changed their online interface so it doesn't give you details about your online check payment like the date it was cashed. Is there any online bank that does this?

Other details like the content of the memo field would be nice to have too.

Seconding Schwab. You will have to open a brokerage account in order to open the checking account, but you don't have to use it. In the online interface you can see an image of the cashed check, so the memo field is visible.

(How can they not include the date it was cashed? I should think that would be the date of the transaction as it is the date the money would have been removed from your account, and I can't imagine they don't show the date of transactions.)

Ally shows you the front and back images of your checks after they're cashed (and the date it was processed).

When you say the date they're cashed, do you mean the day that the person you have the check to gave it to their bank or the day the money was actually removed from your account through the check processing system. If you mean the former, I don't believe that's information that your bank necessarily gets from the recipients bank as far as when they start transferring the money. The dates are usually the same but there could be cases where someone hands over the check on the first but the reconciliation doesn't get processed until the second (or later).

Response by poster: I dunno, CapitalOne used to show the date cashed, I don't know what it actually referred to, but they do show the money as being out of your account as soon as the check is sent. So like I will write and click send on my rent check on the 15th, the money will leave my account on the 16th when the paper check is mailed, but then it will say "Cashed" around the 28th. They used to provide this information but now they don't.

If I send payments through Ally's Billpay feature (which mails a physical check), I get both the date it was labeled as "delivered" and when the check was redeemed. This is usually the same date, but in some cases, my storage unit landlord doesn't cash the check for a few days, so they'll be different.

If you're dealing with a problematic landlord to the point that you might have to prove when a check was received, you might be better off sending checks yourself through certified mail.

Citibank gives you an image of the check and the record of the date it cleared as part of the listing of checking account transactions.
