Updated Recommendations for B&Bs in New Orleans

A search shows latest response on recommendations for B&Bs in New Orleans was from 2013. Am interested in Garden District or French Quarter (If away from noise/craziness) for 2 adults fro 2 nights in early October. Got any places you'd particularly recommend around the $140 or less range?

The Crescent City Guest House in Faubourg Marigny is pleasant, great owners, very close to Frenchman Street while still being pretty calm, could not recommend more. I've been twice - on the first occasion there was a cake waiting for us as it was my birthday.

My mom and I stayed in the Avenue Inn Bed and Breakfast on St. Charles Ave in the Garden District, and it was very charming (this was ~12 years ago, however).

+1 for Crescent City Guesthouse! Lovely owners and quiet location just a stumbling distance from all the music on Frenchman.

Creole Gardens is in that general price range and is in the Lower Garden District. I've never stayed there myself (since I live here), but I've heard good things about it from others.

La belle esplanade is consistently in the top ratings. We also use Fairchild House and love it.
