Help with breakfast near Covent Garden/Trafalgar Square

We’re on a plane to London right now, arriving around 8 AM tomorrow morning. Where, near Covent Garden or Trafalgar Square, can we sit down and have a low-key breakfast around 9:30 or 10, that’s tasty and leisurely? No particular food preference, and no dietary restrictions. I know there are a million places around there, but the “leisurely” is hard to narrow down. ££ or £££ out of ££££.
I'm not sure about leisurely, but my guess is they'd be less busy at 8 am on a weekday than a weekend afternoon & it's cool & has a full breakfast looks like: St Martin in the Fields Cafe in the Crypt

I would say the Crypt Cafe except it miiiiiight not be tasty enough for you, if you're contemplating that budget. It's more towards the cheap and cheerful end.
If so, the Delaunay might be your speed.

The no-brainer for us in this category is Le Pain Quotidien. Fresh, light food that's really tasty. Super casual and low key. There's one in Covent Garden, another in Soho and a third just across the Waterloo Bridge by the Royal Festival Hall.

Brasserie Max at the Covent Garden Hotel. Definitely on the £££ end of your question. Not had breakfast there but been for lunch.

(Sorry, I just realized I linked the wrong menu...here's the Delaunay breakfast.)

The Portrait Restaurant (not the Portrait Cafe) at the National Portrait Gallery (not the National Gallery). Choice of cooked and continental breakfasts, stunning views and ambience galore. They open at 10.

P.S. I'm not sure how well you know the UK, but Garfunkel's and Le Pain Quotidien (both recommended above) are both cheap chains and are, well, quotidian. Nothing wrong with that necessarily, but if you're going that route, you might as well have some porridge in your nearest Pret a Manger, which is the best of the chains in my experience.

Brasserie Zedel for a good brunch. Close to Piccadilly Circus.

Brasserie Zedel is great - and super good value for money.
My absolute favourite spot around the west end though is Fernandez & Wells. There are a few branches, but the one on Beak Street (just at the south end of Carnaby Street - 5 mins walk from Trafalgar Square) would be your best bet.
Dishoom is a fun place, and does great bacon naan rolls and chai at breakfast time. The one at Seven Dials (Covent Garden) is in a good location too, and a nice place to relax.

Go to Neal's Yard in Covent Garden. There's a cute little breakfast shop called 26 Grains. Delicious food. There's also Pride Kitchen a few doors down. The entire yard is cute too.
