How can I best simplifiy my iPad so my elerly mother can watch videos and see pictures stored on the iPad?

I want to set up my iPad for my 92 year old mother, who does not have or need connectivity. I want to load it up with family pictures and videos, and maybe a few pieces of music.

Ideally, she would be able to turn it on and see nothing but the choices of pictures/videos and music.

Short of simply deleting (to the extent possible) all apps that she will not need and will confuse her by the very existence of their icons on the home screen, is there any app out there to simplify the UI further?

Less choices are better. Mom has a hard time when it comes to tapping where she wants to tap.

Thanks you in advance for any help.

You probably want Guided Access.

Best answer: Another option: move all of the non-essential apps to folders on a different screen a few screens away, so she doesn't get confused or accidentally tap them. That way, if she needs them in the future, they're still there. Link.

Best answer: Turn on restrictions, disable the deletion of apps. Lock the App Store down with your Apple ID so you can add new apps but keep her from buying crazy amounts of in-app purchases.
