Downloading information from Outlook Web Access?

Help my friend download her contacts and calendar information from Outlook Web Access.

The situation: she has access to her Outlook contacts and calendar information via Outlook Web Access. However, she cannot log into Outlook/Exchange directly, as she is on travel and doesn't have VPN access. The local pst file (for offline access) Outlook became corrupted and no longer holds the contact or calendar information. Oh, one more data point, there is an export function to excel on the Outlook Web Access page, but when she tries this the Exchange server denies the request. So the question: Is there anyway she can download or scrape the contact/calendar information from Outlook Web Access onto her local machine?

Looking at the my Web Access page (we use Exchange), I don't any way to do this, short of copy/paste. There's no import or export commands.

I have to say, having been forced to go from regular pop mail to Exchange just recently, I feel your friend's pain. Outlook and Entourage are OK mail clients (although both seem to be system hogs), but Exchange is a horrible back end.

I'm 99% sure this is not possible.

I'd probably give a trusted coworker the password, tell them to log in locally with her username, and export a PST file with the contacts/calendar.

Response by poster: Ok, thanks all ... Sharcho, I'll run your solution by her as it may be a good solution

It's not possible to do this through OWA.

Response by poster: An update for anyone that may look at this in the future. We were able to recover her files, but it was through an Outlook Recovery Tool that the IT guy found and tried. Sorry I don't know the specific name of it ...
