Website with DVD sales profits?

Does anyone know of a website that has recent, regularly updated info regarding sales of top-selling DVD's?

I have recently gotten into the short-lived TV series Firefly and subsequent movie Serenity. From what I understand, the fate of any new episodes or movies are directly hinging on Serenity's DVD sales. Is there anywhere on the web where I can see not just the amount of DVD's sold, but the actual gross profit from the sales?

From here:
... sales figures are not available for publication...
I don't know if that's a rule from the people keeping the numbers (VideoScan), or just a limitation of the rights that hollywoodreporter.com has, but I'd say that being #4 on the list after, roughly, a month is pretty decent.

Oh, and the link in my previous post goes to the current DVD sales charts.

Thanks for such an insightful reply. I'm glad you took the the time to write that.

I have tried hollywoodreporter.com, but unfortunately they haven't updated their DVD sales for nearly a month. I would like to see if Serenity is still in the top 10, a month later.

It is also number 4 on Amazon.com, which is good news. I was just hoping to get an actual gross sales figure, like you can get for box office numbers.

Occasionally I will see an article about DVD sales of TV shows, but I'm not aware of a regularly updated site that actually gives raw statistics. This kind of thing used to be published regularly, from what I understand. Here and here. But, this is difficult to come by now. The best I found is billboard, which doesn't give numbers, just a ranking. Or, the Hollywood Reporter that gives a ratio instead of real numbers. It appears now that the only time the numbers are mentioned is when some type of sales record is broken.

According to the IMDB, the movie has made a little over $5m in DVD rentals, whichis a good barometer of the casual fans. To describe that number as poor is an understatement. Sorry.
