Look for the union label in Congress

I'm trying to find out which members of the US Congress were also members of labor unions, either at the time of election or in their pasts.
I can only come up with Al Franken (SGA-AFTRA, WGA) and some other actors turned politicians but surely there must be more?

More actors-turned-politicians. (Close but not identical to your list.) Most if not all would probably have been union members.

Response by poster: Thanks--keep 'em coming please. Governors/Mayors are ok, but Congressional types are my main focus.

I don't have the skill to track down union memberships, but many congresspeople were teachers, professors, or broadcasters so membership in a union is likely for them. That might be a group to check out.

Some members list union memberships (past and present) in their bios in the Congressional Directory. You can search the directory at GPO.gov. Also, in some states elected officials can join the state employee union, so it might be worth looking at former state legislators who have moved on to Congress?
