NYC filter: Quiet place near 42nd street and 12th ave?

I'll be around this area during the day but will need to take time out for a conference call. Can anyone suggest a reasonably quiet place to do this but where it wouldn't be rude for me to have a call? I'm thinking of coffee shops or similar, but any suggestion is welcome. Many thanks in advance!

If you're looking for something really quiet, you could try using the Recharge app that lets you book a hotel room by the minute. I haven't used it in that exact neighborhood, so you may want to double check the closest hotel. It's usually used for showers or naps, but I've used it for this purpose (coffee shops can be pretty hard to hear in, depending on the place).

The Pershing Square Signature Center is around 9th ave and 42nd and the upstairs lobby is open to the public. I'd recommend the weird mini-lobby on the east side of the space.

Also look up the app breather. It's basically renting quiet conference type rooms for a half hour at a time.

Any bigger hotel lobby would also work.

Check out the "Silver Towers" apartment complex between 42nd and 41st on the 11th Avenue side of the block. I don't know if there's a lobby area where you could hang out, but there is a small chain coffee shop (not Starbucks) on the ground level, across from the entrance to the parking garage, where you could probably have a call. Even if that fails, you might get away with just standing around outside in that area. There is plenty of open space that's not right on 42nd Street, which will be the noisiest factor.

Would an outdoors space work? You could get over into the Hudson River Park and get away from the highway down by the water.
