Dressy sockless odorless man shoes for summer?

I love my Keen Owyhees. They're cool on hot days and I can throw them in the wash when they inevitably get odorous. I'm looking for something dressier, that can be worn without socks, that can either resist foot odor or are machine washable.

Best answer: I like Sanuks. The non-leather ones are machine washable.

Best answer: Depends on your definition of dressy, but Allbirds are super trendy these days. I swear I see multiple pairs on my commute every. single. day. They're made of wool - which means they're machine-washable plus the marketing says there are natural antimicrobial properties. Designed to be worn sockless.

Oh, I'm sorry, missed the "summer" part. My understanding is that the wool is not nearly as hot as one might assume (and I've seen plenty of allbirds being worn on ninety-plus degree days), but still not as cool as a sandal or something. Depends on your area and tolerance I guess.

I wear standard LL Bean boat shoes sock less all summer, and never have an oder issue with them. They are probably the opposite of trendy, but as was discussed in another Ask thread this week, I'm almost 50, I don't have to give a damn about trendy :)

Allbirds are washable! (haven't washed mine yet because they are new, but they are designed to be machine washable). They are too warm for me to wear sockless comfortably in east coast summer, for me anyway. Pretty sure they meet all your requirements though.

Seconding Sanuks. I get compliments all the time on mine.

I love Sanuks, but be aware that they are not great for folks with sweaty feet. Also, build quality tends to be an issue; depending on how much you walk you may get one to two seasons out of a pair before they start deteriorating.

That said I'm on my sixth pair.

Response by poster: Thanks all. The less seamy Sanuks might well do, and the Allbirds slip-ons could as well.
