Secure video sharing in China

Film distributor looking for a way to share screeners with cinemas in China securely.

Screeners are pre-release distributions intended for reviewers and cinema operators. Piracy via leaked screeners is a huge problem for the film industry. My employer, a startup film distribution company, is looking for a way to share films with cinemas in China without them being copied for unauthorized distribution.

This type of video sharing is often done with a password protected, download disabled Vimeo file. A step beyond Vimeo, there are a number of dynamic watermark capable websites specifically designed for secure video sharing within the film industry. Vimeo is blocked in China, and after trying a number of commercial services, none had acceptable streaming speeds when accessed from within China.

Are there any other solutions for our scenario? Either a viable streaming solution or a self destruct capable offline solution.

This may seem obvious, but have you googled the phrase "encrypted video sharing" to see what you get? The first hit, VdoCipher, seems like a candidate and so does Vzaar.
