Would you use a foot mat in communal showers?

I never did, but after many years after college, I kind of think this might have been a good idea -- to carry a foot rug to the shower every time I went to have a shower! It would have simulated my home environment perfectly and would have given me a more comfortable college experience. The thing is, I rarely saw anybody doing this. Thoughts?

This post was deleted for the following reason: Sorry, but this is more chatty than a concrete problem, and also you've asked about foot/shower hygiene before -- taz

College is the perfect time to be uncomfortable, up to a point. Honestly, storing such a foot mat would have been a problem - it's going to be wet, and prone to mildew, and where do you keep it so it's not in anyone's way but also gets lots of air circulation?

We wore flip flops, isn't that what people do?
