Keynote Master Slide Transition Issue

I am working on a Keynote pitch deck for a client. The majority of the slides in this deck share a master slide that has a logo and a small tag line down at the bottom of the slide. I need those two elements to stay put whenever I do a slide transition (in this case specifically, push > bottom to top). How can I accomplish this? Right now everything plus the background moves together and it looks wrong. Keynote is due at 3. Help!

Master slide is a white background with the aforementioned small elements down at the bottom. Slide content should move, but not the background. Have tried applying an image fill with those elements baked in to the master slide and individual slides but that did not work. I don't want to use dissolve.

Best answer: That's not gonna happen with the push transition animation.

Push does exactly what you're describing - pushes the whole slide like it's big ol posterboard with everything baked into it.

If you're set on doing the exact animation you're describing you'd need to do major sneaky headache inducing workarounds like:

- Having all slide content on one slide and having the area you want animated "pushing" with motion actions set on click.

- Doing After Effects or motion graphics work

Does the wipe transition work for your purposes? Set fast - like 0.3 s? Why does it need to be push specifically?

Best answer: Can you get rid of all slide transitions, and apply the transitions to just the content on each slide, instead?

(This is what I would do on PowerPoint, but I don't use Keynote.)

Response by poster: It occurs to me that if I grouped all objects on each individual slide, I may be able to animate them in and out while still maintaining the separation of all info without having to make a super slide with everything in it....

Will report back!!

Response by poster: Success! Changed slide transition to none, then grouped all the content, then added automatic build in and build out animations that go smoothly on click. Thank you so much for your suggestions!
