Yet another plant identification

Can you help me identify this plant that a friend received as a housewarming gift? Information about how to care for it also welcome.

The photo in beagle's link is of a Schefflera actinophylla, not a Pachira aquatica, so the advice may be similarly questionable. Probably a good idea to look at some other sites in addition to that one.
