up to date application checking application (windows 10)

Is there an application that will check the version of all applications running on my computer (windows10) and give me a list of those that are out of date? I asked the same question (except for the windows 10 detail) about 8 years ago and was told about filehippo which I used until recently. However, it does not look like filehippo is being maintained ( the latest version is about 2 years old and the name indicates that it's a "Beta" version ) so I'm looking for an alternative. Thanks.

The Filehippo updater app may not be updated recently, but according to this site, the database is being maintained actively.

Ninite will sort of do what you're asking. Check the boxes of the applications that you want to use, download, and run the executable. It will update all of the applications that you checked.

Ninite won't do them all, but for the programs they can install, they can check.

Chocolatey will do updates, but I think you had to have installed it with Chocolatey to start (someone correct me if I am wrong).

What used to be called Secunia PSI (now Flexera PSI apparently) used to do some automatic updating or at least flagging so you could update manually (if they didn't have a way to do auto updates). I have not used this in a while, I am actually installing it right now to check to see how it handles things nowadays, and may be back to tell you yes or no as to whether you want this.

The latest version of Kaspersky Internet Security does this, in addition to antivirus and firewall stuff. It will also flag applications you have not used in a long time and ask if you want to uninstall them.

You can update all the programs from the Windows Store in the store.

Best answer: Checking back to say that Flexera PSI works just like Secunia used to, and I think that it is right up your alley as far as what you need.

PatchMyPC is also aimed towards this sort of thing.

Response by poster: Thank you, everyone who responded.

I'm going with Flexera PSI / Secunia . So far it seems to do everything that I wanted.

Thank you deezil for doing the research to verify that it works.
