Need to transfer App from Ipad2 to new Ipad Pro, ICloud no help...

My husband had a Ipad2 and just got him a new Ipad Pro. He has already been on this new ipad for a week. He has been able to download all his games and pick up where he left off except for one - Sniper 3D Assassin which he has a Facebook Id associated with it.

He has tried to get back to his current level by logging in Facebook on the app, it has his facebook id but it will not download his current level he has on the game (been on game for a year now).

I think it may have something to do with it opening in safari when I try to Connect through the game with Facebook. It opens and says I have already confirmed in Facebook. But it isn't opening directly in the Facebook app, do you think that has something to do with it??

I have tried the ICloud transfer but the App is not available to select to do this. I downloaded a computer program Wondershare, I can hook both Ipads up to my computer but the Apps can not be transferred this way either.

I tried contacting support but have not heard anything back as of yet.

Can anybody help me with this problem?

This may not be solvable, depending on the mechanism that the App uses to save the game data. Even if it uses Facebook for the OAuth of the user account, that does not necessarily mean that the game data (i.e. level, achievements, etc) are stored on something transferable (i.e. some kind of server where that information is saved). If the App developers did not set up the infrastructure to store this data "in the cloud", either using their own servers, someone else's servers, etc, then it may be a matter of them not designing the game to transfer the save data in any way.

There might be a way to transfer the data, but it would involve using some kind of file explorer you would have to install on the old iPad and then copy them to the same location on the new iPad, but again, depending on how the data is stored / encoded, it may not work.

Best answer: When an iOS device is new (or erased) and not set up yet:

Transfer content from your previous iOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

He’ll need to erase and restore to factory settings his new iPad if he wants to do this.

Best answer: (Actually, the first link has the quick way to reset his new device: “To erase your device, tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase any data that's currently on your device. After you erase it, your device restarts and the ‘Hello’ screen appears.” So, you can skip the second link.)

Response by poster: Thank you D.C. I did the erase and restore and then chose the icloud backup to transfer the content. It worked!!! Now my husband thinks I am the greatest!!
