Can you purchase MetroNorth railroad tickets with cash and card?

When purchasing MetroNorth railroad tickets at the MTA vending machine that accepts both cash and credit is it possible for you to purchase you ticket with a combination of cash and card? For example, can I put $20 bucks in and make the rest of the total up with a credit card?

It asks you to click your form of payment. So no, not on the machines I've seen.

Best answer: I tried to do this exact thing a week ago when I was on a business trip on the east coast. Nope.
