Where should I get my film processed in Los Angeles?

I live on the Westside, and am your average "got too into photography in college" grad student without enough time for the darkroom anymore. Is there some place nearby that's reliable and won't charge me a fortune? Alternatively, if anyone knows about UCLA resources for photo-amateurs, shoot, I could use that info as well.

My boyfriend worked in digital printing and finishing up until we moved to Boston last year, I asked him, and he said you might look at A&I - they're in Hollywood and Santa Monica. I don't know much about their cost, but he says they're really good and very trustworthy. Sayeth he: "I know it's gonna be right and it's not going to be outrageously expensive."

What kind of film? When I used to shoot off rolls of 35mm like crazy, I'd take em all to Sav On. Cheap and fast. Then then the shots I like I'd take to a color lab for more professional processing. Saved me a bunch of money over the long haul.

Response by poster: 35mm. I tend not to trust the pharmacy people to treat negatives with enough care. Thanks for the tip about A&I, a friend of mine uses their Hollywood location, but I didn't know they were in Santa Monica.

Try Samy's Camera. I've only been to their main store on Fairfax, but they also have a site in Venice.
