Any way to be challenged less on this recaptcha?

So I need to check the registration status of 200ish people on the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council register and they've recently added a recaptcha that makes me want to cry. Gone from 2-3 clicks per search to 5, 10, 15! Is there anything I can do browser-wise to reduce the frequency of challenges or is it just that the site has turned the captcha software all the way up to 11?

I'm using chrome with various plugins, tried disabling Adblock and tried using IE. Doesn't seem to reduce the frequency of challenges (feels like about 90% of the time). Seems that I had a run of about 8 searches before it decided I needed to click on the damn street signs EVERY. DAMN. TIME and often TWICE BECAUSE YOU MUST SUFFER. Is there anything I can do to reduce the frequency of challenges?

I've tried to find an appropriate contact on the site to give some feedback but am not confident it'll go to the right place so in the first instance anything that reduces my clicks would be worthwhile.

I just got the very simple "I am not a robot" checkbox. You may be getting more complicated captchas because you're running so many searches. Have you tried an incognito browser window?

Response by poster: Launched Incognito window.
search 1 - im not a robot checkbox, enter
search 2 - checkbox, enter, image challenge x1, results
search 3 - checkbox , enter, image challenge x1, results
search 4 - checkbox , enter, image challenge x2, results
search 5 - checkbox, enter, image challenge x1, results

The interval between searches is as long as it takes to C&P the PIN and hit enter, not slow but you know, not bot fast.

Best answer: I only get the "I am not a robot" checkbox after mulitple searches. I'm searching from a Netherlands IP and I even switched on my VPN for a Canadian IP. Where are you searching from?

Response by poster: A UK university that provides nursing courses, so um yeah - frequency of searches on the NMC - high.

Best answer: T&Cs page says:
In the event that you have any complaints or queries concerning our services or products, or about these Websites generally, please contact us by email at communications@nmc-uk.org
I'd def send them an email explaining what you're trying to do and how the captcha is obstructing you. Hopefully they can scale it back or add you to the whitelist or something.

Response by poster: Oh well spotted on the technical contact - should have known not to go looking in the contact sections! Since its looking like an organisation thing as opposed to a me thing it seems appropriate to kick this back to someone technical in the faculty to solve for everyone. Thanks for helping me to realise that it's probably not working as it should.

Just tried it and I had the image challenge x2.

Note this (recaptcha) is a google provided service and I'm reasonably confidant (we use this service as well) that the developers there cannot change any of its settings- best they could do is disable it or change it to a different service.

If you successfully contact someone, you could try asking if you can supply them with a list of names/emails and they can provide you with statuses?
