Where can I find a Buddha's hand citron in NYC at this time of year?

For symbolic purposes, I need a Buddha's hand citron sometime in the next month or so. I know these are not in season right now, but I also know that citrons can have weird seasonality and might be available. Any suggestions for particular stores or locations that might have one? Chinatown would generally seem like a good bet, but does anyone know a specific place in Chinatown to look for one?

If by any chance, you know of any other place somewhere between Pittsburgh and NYC to purchase one, that would work too, as I travel back and forth quite a bit.

Thanks!

Best answer: Manhattan Fruit Exchange inside the Chelsea Market is worth giving a call.

Response by poster: Thanks! Just called them and they told me that they don't carry them anymore, but could potentially order an entire case for me (which I imagine will be pretty pricey, considering I only need one).

Best answer: I've seen them recently - within the past month - at Union Market in Park Slope (I don't remember whether it was at the Union St branch or the 7th Av branch), and much less recently at Eataly's produce stand.

Best answer: Have you tried Dean & Deluca? I've definitely seen buddhas hands there, but not sure if it was in or out of season at the time.

Best answer: Just wanted to add Fairway and Gourmet Garage as possibilities, as well as this recent thread looking for citron in NYC

Best answer: I have also definitely seen them at Whole Foods in manhattan - since youre letting your fingers and phone do the walking they are worth a call (in addition to the other retailers listed).

Best answer: It's been a number of years since I've been, but the Whole Foods on the Bowery used to stock them periodically. Might be worth a call.
