Idiots Guide to Facebook Pixel Tracking?

I'm looking for a straightforward guide on how to setup Facebook Pixels so I can track conversions between Facebook ads, traffic to a website (my own), and sales on another site (where I've installed my Pixel as well). Help!?

An existing guide online or if someone can easily write up the steps appreciated!

Do you have (or can you) Google Tag Manager installed on your site? That makes FB tracking easy and quick to add.
