Six degrees of separation from bad news

I'm trying to find a website or a Facebook meme about how one should react to bad news, depending on how close you are to the people involved.
It went something like this:
If you're directly affected you're allowed to wail and moan all you want.
If you're an immediate family member, you can cry and complain.
If you're a friend, you can offer sympathy but not mention your own problems.
Etc.
Can anyone help me find this? Thanks.
