Firefox sync shouldn't make me crazy, should it?

And yet it does. Syncing bookmarks from my PC to my new Android phone is completely impossible. I've tried everything on the Mozilla help pages and everything I could think of myself, including deleting my Firefox account and reistalling Firefox on the computer and the phone. AskMefi to the rescue!

What else should I do?

My phone has the latest version of Android 7. My PC is running Windows 7.

Best answer: Are you sure you have both devices connected to the same sync account? I made that mistake once and spent weeks wondering sync didn't work before finally realizing both devices were syncing, just not to each other.

I was very annoyed and confused at first but then I just ignored the problem for a few days and it started working fine. I think it must have been some combination of logging in/out on the different devices and also maybe it does take a bit of time for it to decide to push/pull/sync the data.

Good suggestion. I deleted the sync account and made a new one with a different password and now the computer and the phone are definitely connected to the same account.

And BAM -- there they are, all the bookmarks! Thanks very much! Case closed.
