How can I search posts on a Facebook account?

Is there an easy way to search someone's Facebook posts to, say, eight years ago, either by date or search terms, to, say, find the posts where they said "not my president" or encourage and justified obstruction?

Best answer: You can simply type in the person's full name and search term(s) in the search bar. There is a "date posted" filter on the left that lets you filter by year. If the person's name is common and public posts from strangers with the same name appear, there's a filter on the left to show only posts from your friends.

Response by poster: Indeed, you can even filter by person, or by group, or locality.

Perfect! Thanks!
