How can I keep my feet from turning the color of my Reefs?

I just bought new Reef flip flops and I love them. However, the red foot-bed of the shoes is making the soles of my feet red. This doesn't happen to my sister, just me. Am I weird? How can I prevent this?

My Reefs still black the soles of my feet, a few years after I first got them.

My feet are blue from my Top Siders. It washes out fairly easy (as in simply standing in the shower seems to do it). I've been wearing them for years now, they still do it.
