Different cursor speed with dual-screen setup

I have a dual monitor setup, and until last week the cursor speed on both was the same. Now one is faster than the other. What gives, and how can I change it back?

I believe the problem started after I installed the game Stubbs the Zombie. The game has been uninstalled, but that hasn't solved the problem.

Oh yes, sorry. Windows XP. Both monitors are Daewoo 17-inch. Graphics card is a Radeon Sapphire, can't remember the exact model now.

What kind of mouse? If it's a Logitech then in the setting dialog somewhere (depends on what version of the driver you're using) there's a 'Game Detection' checkbox that you could try toggling. Microsoft may also have something similar.

Is the monitor that the speed changed on the same one that you played Stubbs on?

Could it be that your resolution on one monitor was altered by the game? If mouse speed is keyed on pixel distance and not real distance this could account for any variability.

Upon further investigation, it seems that my one monitor had a higher refresh rate (180Hz versus 60Hz). I imagine the game changed this, or possibly a different external source, because I definatly know I didn't. Making them both 60Hz has solved the problem. Thanks to everyone who offered answers.
