Apple Health Pedometer for Android

I need pedometer app for Android (for a Google Pixel) that not only counts steps, but keeps an average of steps/day over the past 30 days like Apple Health used to on my iPhone.

I recently left the Appleverse and went from an iPhone to a Google Pixel. So far I have been able to find replacement apps for pretty much everything EXCEPT for Apple Health.

Apple Health would count the steps per day, but also keep an average of steps per day over the past 7, 30, 365 days. This was great motivation for me as I would look at the weather, see that it would be rainy in four days, and walk a bunch in advance to keep my 11k/day average up. Or, if I had a lazy Sunday, I could make up the steps I missed after the fact.

Google Fit, which I have now, does not do this. It just does pass/fail "goals" for each day. While I can set a "goal" for a 77k step week, that week is rigidly locked into a Monday-Sunday schedule, so I can't walk extra on Monday to make up for a lazy Sunday.

Is there an app in the Google Play store that will do this, that stays always on/counting, and does not require me to carry around yet another thing? I will pay a few bucks for an app that will make this happen.

In case you don't find anything else, and you are (or have a friend that is) willing to play with code, Google Fit has an API. Here are some links:
API Documentation
API Tutorial
Example of code that gets total steps for the week before the current date - you'd just have to divide by 7 to average
