Best non-vacuum travel mug

I'm searching for dishwasher friendly (both the body and the lid) travel mugs. A few snowflakes inside.

I am lazy and prone to letting dishes sit forever if they have to be washed by hand. Most of the previous asks have focused on vacuum based mugs that have great insulative properties but can't go in the dishwasher. I'm looking for mugs that hold somewhere around 20-30 ounces, fit in a standard car cup holder, are easy to clean (I'd rather have a simple lid that isn't watertight but doesn't need frequent hand washings), and are some reasonable balance between quality and price.

It's unusual for me to be drinking the beverage for more than an hour so I don't really care about insulation other than not wanting something that will be uncomfortably hot to hold. If there is some kind of latch for the lid, it should be something that's easy to open one-handed while driving. I don't care what it looks like or if it has a handle or not. It perhaps goes without saying, but not leaking when tipped up to drink is important, which tends to be the weak point in generic mugs.

Any suggestions?

Best answer: Aladdin Plastic Mug. $11. Microwave and dishwasher safe. I used one every day. They also make one with a handle. Keeps things pretty hot too. I just got mine at a grocery store.

It sounds like you have a similar use profile to me. I gave up on the clever travel mug stuff and now just use a rotating set of regular ceramic coffee cups that are normal size around, but taller. And then I just fill it only 2/3 or so, so it doesn't spill while I'm driving or walking.

Sometimes I bring a real thermos to refill the cup, but not always.

Best answer: I was going to suggest the Aladdin mug too! I've had one for 5 years, works great.

I throw my Contigo with the easy-clean autoseal top into the dishwasher all the time. It won't last as long that way, probably, but it still works and I've had it at least 2 or 3 years.

I use a Cuppow. It's snug in my cup holder, but it keeps my coffee hot throughout the drive to work, and I can switch out the mason jar as needed. I see that the set is sold out, but you can get a Cuppow lid and an appropriately sized coozie separately.

I use a double-walled ceramic mug for this very reason; it's damn easy to clean. I've seen them for sale at Starbucks and often at nicer tourist shops, but it looks like you can get a wide variety online.
