MovieFilter - Help me remember this movie...

Okay, I need help remembering what movie this partly remembered scene is from... A kid has done something wrong (I think) and another parent goes over to talk to the kid's parents about an incident (?)...but nothing but coddling begins....the mother has had enough and says something along the lines of, "Oh for Christ's sake! Who runs this house? Who's the parent around here!?!" She then takes charge and...whatever... (More inside)

I may have the plot all twisted around. It may be divorced parents appalled at how the other is coddling...I just don't know.

Can anybody decipher my muddled description, possibly remember the scene and what movie this is from?

Best answer: It MIGHT be Deceived starring Goldie Hawn.

I think a kid found Goldie's necklace, and the kid's mom is trying to gentle-talk her into returning it. Goldie then says the line and grabs the necklace,

(Important note: I could be 100% wrong. Haven't seen it in ages, but I have certainly seen the scene you describe.)
