Reviews of ordinary life blog

A number of years ago, I remember there was a middle aged or older woman, I think in the Midwest, who wrote very plain reviews of restaurants and other things of everyday life. Somehow, she ended up going viral, and was "a thing" for a bit. But I can't seem to remember enough about it all to find her on Google. Does this ring a bell for anyone?
