Cute fun reading glasses I can order online?

I am middle aged and need reading glasses. I like colorful relatively inexpensive reading glasses since I am good at destroying or losing them. I used to buy them at Flying Tiger, but it appears glasses are no longer in their range. I bought some cats-eye models from Amazon, but they literally disintegrated after 2-3 uses. Too cheap! Bonus if the company ships internationally to me in Hong Kong, but I can also live with shipping to my sister in the US or to friends in the Netherlands.

Best answer: I can't link right now, but earlier this summer I bought two pairs of reading glasses from Peepers. Great variety, reasonably priced, durable and they come with carrying cases. They run sales all the time and I believe I got a discount as a first time customer. Not sure about international shipping though.

Can you clarify what you mean by "relatively inexpensive"? That might help you get useful answers.

Response by poster: 10-30 dollar range. No prescription required.

TJ Max, 4 pairs for about $15, maybe less. I am on number two, bought them 6 months ago. Costco has three packs. TJ has some nice looking ones at times, along the check out line.

Ocean State Job Lots has three-packs for $10-$12. And then I just read the rest of your question and realize you're in Hong Kong. Nevermind!

Does Amazon ship to Hong Kong? They're got a slew of reading glasses in that price range. On a hunch, I checked banggood, and they do, too.

Response by poster: Amazon does, but my last attempt with them was not promising. They looked cute, but literally disintegrated. I'm trying Peepers now, since their shipping rate to HK is really reasonable.

Love peepers! Rec: the kind with a high bridge because they're easier to just wear constantly without the fuss with the peering over the top issue.

Also, bifocal sunglasses. Part regular sunglasses, part reader. Quite useful.

I saw plenty of reading glasses at Flying Tiger in the Netherlands, just three weeks ago. If they still have them, and I'm trying to check but their website is slow as frozen molasses right now, could your friends send you some?

Best answer: I've had good luck (and gotten many compliments) with ICU glasses, which are available on Amazon.

These look fun, I've never tried them but will next time I need a new batch.

Dollar store. Buy a dozen. Work until they get scratched. throw away. Their supplier is China so I suspect local is an option.

Response by poster: Too-Ticky, if that's the case then I can pick them up when I'm there in a few weeks. I love their reading glasses! But their shop in Copenhagen airport is gone (I fly through that airport a lot) and the shops here in Asia have stopped stocking reading glasses. The web site gave me zero hits in their search tool for reading glasses, so I wonder if they are slowly coming out of their range everywhere. *sad face*

Response by poster: ptm-- the local opticians seem to only sell prescription reading glasses for exorbitant prices. I can probably by through TaoBao, but the quality needs to be at least a little bit not completely awful.

Best answer: Flying Tiger NL website is working for me now and still shows reading glasses!
