Flash Error On Xfinity on Demand

Help me fix flash error on Xfinity on demand. Comcast is no help at all.

All weekend I have been trying to log in to xfinity on safari without success. I keep getting this error message:
Flash compatibility issue
XFINITY® TV requires a more recent version of Flash (15.0.0.152+).
Please update to the latest version of Flash and ensure your browser is Flash compatible.

I have downloaded flash 23.0 but for some reason xfinity isn't seeing it. I have talked to comcast tech support with no success to speak of five times.

Yes, I know it will/does work fine in chrome, but that's not the point.

Does anyone have a suggestion about how to fix this?

Best answer: Go to Safari -> Preferences -> Security -> Plug-in Settings and make sure Adobe Flash Player Version 23.x is listed and checked.

Best answer: Also, Safari 10.0 disables plug-ins such as Flash to save power. Go to Safari -> Preferences -> Advanced and make sure Stop plugins to save power is unchecked.
