Drop-in Life Drawing courses in Toronto?

Calling on MeFi artists and enthusiasts! Does anyone know of any drop-in Life Drawing courses in Toronto?

Preferably in the west-end or downtown, on evenings (and weekends if necessary). I've been looking around on Google, NOW, Eye etc. and, other than Harbourfront, I can't seem to find any other locations.

There's nothing wrong with Harbourfront, but something a little bit closer (and less pretentious) would be nice.

This is driving me nuts. I remember seeing street posters for some kind of artists' guild as recently as a few years ago. They offered drop-in life drawing classes on Sundays for some pretty cheap amount, and people with all kinds of experience were welcome. But my Google-fu isn't turning them up. I'll keep trying.

Best answer: Aha! The renovated Gladstone Hotel seems to be offering $7 classes on a weekly or biweekly basis. The next one is on January 18.

This blogger likes the classes (scroll to October 16). And this one includes sample drawings and a detailed description of a typical night.

Ahh... those drawing classes aren't new to the refurbished gladdy.. they've been going on regularly for something like 30 years now. Although I think they were at some other dive-y joint for a while. Does anyone out there have an account of their history? I know the post published an article on them manymanymany years ago, and I might still have the clipping somewhere, but it would be up in north york, if I do...

Response by poster: Thanks for all the answers. Special thanks to maudlin for the effort, and also reminding me of the Gladstone courses (which I somehow forgot about). They're exactly what I'm looking for (price and location wise).
