New Orleans bar debate watching where? (And other things to do)

I'm visiting NOLA from Chicago. Would like to watch the debate tonight, at a democratic friendly bar. Where? Also because I'm using a question, things to do this week, places to go and yummy food recommendations are encouraged and welcome. Staying near Benachi House.

Okay for starters, chances are any bar in this city is going to be a Democrat-friendly bar, at least in the part of town where you are.

If you want to stay away from downtown I recommend Pal's. I'm sure they'll have the debate on. If not there, 12 Mile Limit. The owner is a very progressive guy and I can't imagine loudmouth Republican nonsense being tolerated there.

If you want to go downtown - pick a bar. Any bar.

I'd love to stick around and tell you more about our fair city but I gots to run. Maybe when I get back I can answer some food questions.

Can't help with debate watching, but there are dozens of posts recommending places to eat and things to do in New Orleans on AskMe. Do you have specific questions/concerns that aren't addressed in the previous posts?

The Prytania Bar is having a debate watch party tonight. So is Twelve Mile Limit.
