Seeking fee-based financial planner in DC for jellybean-sized nest egg

Any recommendations for a fee-based financial planner in Northern Virginia (or the DMV area)? Someone willing to accept an hourly fee for a few hours of consultation, regarding the possibility of retirement in 15 or so years. Thanks in advance.

I found The Garret Planning Network to be helpful when I was searching for a fee-only financial planner. They are an organization of fee-only financial planners that don't just specialize in the very wealthy, You can search for your geographic region.

Ameritrade offers this service for a flat annual fee percentage of your portfolio.

NAPFA is an organization of fee-omly advisors. Its website sucks but that doesn't mean its members do. The CFP board website is much better and has a search option for fee-only.
