How do I use this spicy/piquante provolone cheese?

A friend gave me a big hunk of aged provolone. This morning, I grated a little bit of it into my scrambled egg and it was effing delicious. Next up, melty slices of it on a hot Italian beef sub sandwich. How else can I use this cheese to best effect?

Grilled ham and cheese? Or forget the ham if you're not a ham person. Stuffed chicken breast?

Are you sure it's not Red Leicester ?

I'd bake cheese bread or what we call scones in Australia.

Yes, it's labeled "provolone," from Eataly in Chicago, and it's white.

French onion soup is surprisingly easy to make.

Make a pizza, no red sauce, just olive oil, caramelized onions and thyme (dried is ok). Top with delicious cheese and bake.

Use it on top of half-cooked vegetables, then grill, roast or bake for a while. (Zuchini, cauliflower, brocoli, etc) oh also on baked potato.

I love to add sharp provolone and genoa salami to my pasta salad - they kick up the flavor and turn a side dish into a meal.

I really like it melted on French bread with thinly sliced steak and caramelized onions.

Grilled cheese with bacon jam.
