Raucous and chaotic music wanted

I would like to find more music in the vein of this: Something speedy with no definite rhythm and preferably pretty jazzy. Maybe something Charlie Parker-esque but with a little more clash.

How about some Albert Ayler? Maybe some late Coltrane?

Braxton has an album called TRISTANO COMPOSITIONS 1989 which might do. Rhythm section is a bit more trad bebop than your example, but horns are plenty raucous.

The Art Ensemble of Chicago is like this in some moods. Try their Fanfare For The Warriors.

(Also, if you can venture outside of Jazz, you might appreciate the music of Eliot Carter, say, or Pierre Boulez for some of the same qualities. Or Milton Babbitt.)

Best answer: I love Rahsaan Roland Kirk. The genres you want to search for are “free jazz” and “post-bop.” Some great recommendations in this thread. Definitely late Coltrane (Ascension, Meditations) and for more “wall of sound” style improvisation also middle Coltrane, like Giant Steps. Also check out Ornette Coleman. For something a bit different in the funk direction, try electric Miles Davis (Agharta, Bitches Brew). For a rabbit hole of free jazz, try the ROVA Saxophone Quartet and Ken Vandermark’s various projects.
