Iranian music and cinema of the 1940s-1970s

I'm looking for the best resources (books preferred but other sources are welcome) on Iranian music and cinema from the 1940s leading up to the revolution. In other words, under the rule of Mohammad-Reza Shah.

I have a decent familiarity with the essential cinema and popular music of this time period in Iran, but I want to deepen my knowledge.

Again, books are most preferred, but I'm also open to documentaries, podcasts, blogs, and so on.

If it's available online, links are appreciated! Many thanks in advance!

Response by poster: Thanks Iris Gambol - hadn't seen that one and will check it out!

It's hard to find much information out there. I just stumbled upon this book about to be published next year, others may be interested: Soundtrack of the Revolution: The Politics of Music in Iran
