How do I get my New York car title document?

A year ago, I bought a car from my family in Alabama. I brought it to my home in New York, and got it properly registered here. This involved giving the New York DMV the Alabama title document and being told I'd receive a New York document in the mail. The New York title document never arrived. What do I need to do to get it?
I have my New York registration document (and everything else I'm supposed to have), just not the title document.
