Help me remember scenes in films where characters watch mtv?

I'm thinking of a film in particular where some kid comes home and puts on mtv and rocks out, but I can't for the life of me remember what it is. I'm in general searching for scenes in film where people are watching MTV, any help would be so super appreciated as I seem to be striking out alone..

I feel like it's some body swap film that I'm thinking of but checked through most of 18 again. I remember a tv screen, and jumping on lots of leather couches. I found a music video watching moment in Earth Girls are Easy but it's not an mtv cameo- I guess there's obviously beavis and butthead... there has to be more!

Regardless, any examples of such a thing in tv or film would be so appreciated.

Clueless has a watching MTV scene, but it's watching Beavis and Butthead, not rocking out to music. Mean Girls has a scene where someone is dancing along to a music video on TV (Regina's little sister), but I don't think it's made explicit that it's MTV.

Spies Like Us has a great scene where two 80s mall rejects are watching MTV when a space laser weapon fries a satellite and overloads their TV.

Well, it was great when I was young.

Here's the scene from Spies Like Us. Great job by the art department of that production postering the teenager's room.

If you were thinking Body Swap, try 1987's, "Like Father Like Son," with Dudley Moore and Kirk Cameron. I never saw it, so I don't know if it has a scene you're looking for.

Response by poster: The scene from spies like us so rules. Wow.
Also like father like son definitely has an MTV scene at 37:44!
Thanks guys, this is awesome! What else is there?

I can't swear to it but I think Flight of the Navigator has a scene where a character rocks out to a Cyndi Lauper video.

Toys has a scene in which Robin Williams and Joan Cusack sneak past a security camera by pasting an MTV logo underneath the monitor in the guard room, then lip-synching to a Thomas Dolby song to make the guards think they're watching a music video.

edit: oops, I misunderstood the question. Originally said Josie and the Pussycats, but it doesn't fit.

Probably not what you're looking for, but there's a scene in Mean Girls where the main character visits her friend at home and friend's little sister is dancing to a sexually loaded music video.

The way you described it I immediately thought of the beginning of Michael Jackson's Black or White, although no MTV.

I believe She's All That has a scene where the popular girlfriend of the romantic lead (before she dumps him) is watching MTV Spring Break.

The answer is "Like Father Like Son" starring Kirk Cameron and Dudley Moore. I am ashamed I know this off the top of my head.
