Help me buy a spin bike!

We're in the market for a spin bike for our home for high-intensity interval training. I've started doing research and have come across various reviews and buying guides—brands, flywheel weight, resistance type, belt or chain, etc. I'm looking for help on a few items.

- Do you have any lessons you learned buying and owning a spin bike? Any features or specs you didn't get but now wish you had, or vice versa?
- Any recommendations (or warnings against) specific models and brands?
- Any recommendations for iOS apps, podcasts, YouTube channels for spinning?

Thanks in advance!

We bought two over the years. Both from our health club after they upgraded.

Doing preventive maintenance on them is not easy. Otherwise we've been happy with them.

We've got a LeMond Fitness Power Cycling one, it's yellow. I replaced the leather pad that provides resistance, it bears against the flywheel and creates friction. The belt has never needed service, but it looks pretty simple. Three screws to remove the belt guard, loosen belt tensioner, remove, replace, tension belt. I bought as an accessory a handlebar mounted computer that synchs with a Polar chest strap, that's nice to have. I put my favorite saddle on it, the wide cushion saddle that it came with was no good for my ass. I swapped out the pedals for my favorite SPDs, that's something to consider.

My gym recently put Matrix IC7 spin bikes in place of the previous models. On the negative side, these spin bikes are incredibly expensive. On the plus side, it's not even close: these are the best spin bikes I've ever been on. It's not close.
