Lost stuffie quest

I'm looking for a replacement stuffie for a little sock monkey that was purchased 8+ years ago. Hopeless?
Child and her Monkey Friend are pictured here. Little MF was a shower gift so probably purchased by someone in California 8 years ago. Here's a look at some of the label. Child has had a tough year and though MF hasn't been seen for a while, child is hoping her pal is still around. I have a feeling he might have gotten swept up in the last Great Stuffie Purge so is there any detective work that will turn up his long lost identical twin?

Response by poster: Also, holy crap, that's one pricey stuffie but I'm pleased to report that there is one on its way to us right now. If I could, I would sing The Monkey Friend song to all of you in celebration!
