Sufi Zikr in Fiction

Which modern novel - the kind of thing written by Orhan Pamuk, for example - describes Sufi Zikr as shown here.

It need not be central to the story.

I saw that video and didn't have a clue how to understand or interpret it. This is one way to fix that. Unfortunately, because it is a cultural thing I don't know much about, it's possible I am asking something dumb or offensive. If so, please correct me. H/T

The Art of Turkish Cooking Opens with a description of growing up in a Sufi family — I know it's not really what you are asking for, but for me, this opened my mind to Sufism when I met in other texts — or in people.
If I remember something more accurate in relation to your question, I'll get back.
