Weird display name on Line2

So, when using the Line2 app, why did my colleague's name show up as a Harry Potter character instead of her real name?

I use the Line2 app for work. When a colleague called me today, her name popped up as her real name, then quickly switched to this name - Mundungus Fletcher (screenshot linked).

This is a character from Harry Potter (I learned by Googling), but a) neither of us knew this name and b) no where in my contacts for her is she designated as Mundungus Fletcher. We searched Line2, and both of our computers, for any mention of Mundungus - none found. Google brings up nothing, too.

Anyone else who has called has their correct name/number displayed.

Yesterday I (long story) deleted my default Keychain and created a new one, and had to repopulate my passwords. No idea if this is related, but a data point. I'm using El Capitan.

Any idea why my co-worker is suddenly a Harry Potter character?

Best answer: Purely a guess here, but it might have been a placeholder. "This appears to be a known user. There is a delay in retrieving his or her real name from the contact list database. Let's display a jokey name for the split second before we actually know who it is." As a professional software guy, that's exactly the kind of thing I can see a developer slapping in as a placeholder - maybe even meaning to get a better name later - but it's an "edge case" that doesn't pop up much so it was forgotten about.

Best answer: I don't use Line2, but I downloaded the DMG since it looks like you're using it on a Mac and searched it for that string and found that it has "Mundungus Fletcher", "Severus Snape", and "Luna Lovegood" (all from Harry Potter) in the binary. So, yeah, Tomorrowful's suggestion of some sort of placeholders makes sense. Why it stays as Mundungus Fletcher? Probably a bug or slow network or something else.
