Re-purpose Surface drive

I have an original Surface that has a cracked screen and will no longer boot. It has a solid state drive. Can I pull the drive and re-purpose it? The camera, maybe, too.

I found this teardown article.

Best answer: You should be able to pull the solid state drive and use it. It looks like it uses the mSATA interface; this adapter should let you use it in a larger computer/laptop.

I'm doubtful that the camera will be of much use. I'd bet it uses some kind of USB interface, but figuring out how that works will be a total pain.

If it were me I might just to sell the broken surface on ebay for some dollars, and buy a really really good SSD for $90.
